These numbers are impressive. Great health and vitality is about the daily positive choices we can all make to increase our activity and movement.

For many, the initial good intentions of daily exercise is met with aches, pains and injuries. Putting the brakes on our newly increased activity before even reaching the giddy heights of vitality that comes post exercise, and quickly returning to the previous sedentary state. However, all is not lost, there are many amazing homeopathic remedies that can speed recovery from injury enabling you to return to exercise swiftly and often remaining injury free, thereafter.


Homeopathic remedies for strains and sprains


Arnica is the first remedy we think about for bruising, it is a remedy that can be repeated frequently for severe bruising. Use 30 or 200 up to 3 times daily. Apply Arnica gel, oil or balm to affected area 3-4 times daily. Do Not Apply To Broken Skin.

Rhus-tox great for inflammation, stiffness and pain after injury. Characteristic symptom; its better for massage of the affected muscles, better for hot water (bath or shower); worse on first moving from a resting position and there is a restlessness of the injured part of generally. Use 30 every 3-4 hours and soak in a hot bath. Apply Rhus-tox balm to affected area 2-3 times daily.

Ruta is often needed to compliment Arnica and Ruta, it has a strong affinity for the tendons and ligaments. Apply Ruta balm to affected area 2-3 times daily

Symphytum (or bone-knit) indicated for inflammation of tissues and bone. 30 once per day for sore, bruised and tender bones that are mending after a break.

Hypericum for nerve injuries, including lacerating or crush injuries. 30 up to three times daily. Apply Hypericum and Calendula balm or tincture to affected area 2-3 times daily.
